Submitted by Marisa Fernandez on 18 April 2018

From 10 – 12th April INNO-DROP consortia - funded by COSME Cluster Excellence Program, organized a joint training on communication skills, a key driver for cluster excellence management. Two separated sessions tackled Oral Presentations and Social networks by experts with international background on the topics. Again, CLUSGRID consortia joined INNO-DROP through Eastern Cluster ICT from Poland. The consortia took the opportunity to visit top technological centres in Liberec working in Nanotechnology to screen new opportunities for collaboration in the field of water sector.

COSME - Clusters Excellence programme aims to strengthen cluster management to provide more professional business services to European SMEs and, as a result, to contribute to the development of more world-class clusters in the EU. The project “Innovation and development in cluster excellence and cooperative partnerships” - INNO-DROP funded under this Programme is the training of cluster managers in the specific fields of Cluster Benchmarking, Cluster organisation management, Industrial analysis and segmentation, Cluster economics and Change management. INNO-DROP consortium is integrated by BalticNet-PlasmaTec (Germany) – Coordinator,  Nanoprogress (Czech Republic), Aqua Valley (France) and  ZINNAE (Spain).

After joint trainings plus study visits in Berlin, Copenhagen, Valencia and Barcelona, INNO-DROP landed last week in Czech to tackle communication skills, a key driver for cluster excellence and essential to ensure an appropriate visibility of clusters. The training was organized in two separated sessions. First session tackled Social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn), that were presented and discussed to enhance cluster visibility, credibility and community development. Second training tackled oral presentations, as part of cluster’s work to present and develop Cluster activities.

A study visit was organized by Nanoprogress to Liberec to visit two Research Institutes: VÚTS Liberec – focused in tools machinery, textile and automotive industries; and the Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation at the Technical University of Liberec, expert in analysis of nanostructures and nanomaterials.

The training was a fully success for all participants and all Clusters are ready to enhance its communication profile in the coming weeks. Next stop: Tolouse.
