GSSC chosen target city in Cabo Verde

GSSC partnership finished analysis of target countries and made a decision about chosen target city in Cabo Verde. The selection process was quite difficult and it covered a lot of indicators and data, which were described in one of our deliverables. The market analysis focused on more specific indicators. The main features considered to select the most relevant cities were: demographic, development and economic indicators, ITC data, environmental data, infrastructure (both physical and digital), green technologies data, smart cities data.
According the selection process the chosen target city in Cabo Verde is Praia, which is the largest city by population in Cabo Verde and it has a potential to become Green Small Smart Cities. You can see the Cabo Verde islands and the target city Praia on the picture above. We have to mention that not only indicators and data were used for our decision. GSSC consortium have already had several meetings with stakeholders where were identify the most promising areas. GSSC consortium had signed a key agreement with Czech-Cape Verdean Chamber of Commerce, which will help us to entre this market in the future. It is also worth to mention that we completed this research by information about main companies in the cities and news and trends from this area.
