GSSC partnership finished analysis of target countries and made a decision about chosen target cities in Chile. The selection process was quite difficult and it covered a lot of indicators and data, which were described in one of our deliverables. The market analysis focused on more specific indicators. The main features considered to select the most relevant cities were: demographic, development and economic indicators, ITC data, environmental data, infrastructure (both physical and digital), green technologies data, smart cities data.
According the selection process the chosen target cities in Chile are Valparaíso and Antofagasta, which are one of the four more developed cities and with more potential to become Green Small Smart Cities. You can see some general information about these cities on the pictures above. We have to mention that not only indicators and data were used for our decision. GSSC consortium have already had several meetings with stakeholders where were identify the most promising areas and spot collaboration opportunities and support from local managers. It is also worth to mention that we completed this research by information about main companies in the cities and news and trends from this area.
