GALACTICA organized the info-day and matchmaking for the 2nd call for proposals

The GALACTICA partnership presented its 2nd call for proposals during a dedicated info-day and matchmaking in Brussels on February 10th. This second call counts with more than 1,6 M€ available in funding to support cross-sectoral innovation among textile, aerospace and advanced manufacturing.

More than 40 participants attended in person in Brussels for the info day and participate in a dedicated matchmaking.  

During the first part of the session, Josep Casamada, Project Manager at AEI Tèxtils and coordinator of GALACTICA, presented the key ambitions of the project and main support mechanisms available, both financial and non-financial support. Then, Jona Helmert, Project Manager at Süderelbe AG, presented the sectoral market studies that were conducted earlier on the project and are the basis for the call to address the different needs identified. Lastly, Silvia de los Santos (CTA) and Stellina Patelida (CORALLIA) presented in depth the details for the second call for proposals, eligibility requirements and procedure for submission.

The info day ended with the testimonials from the first call for proposals: Titania (Orbital Project), Vienna Textile Lab (Pioneer Acceleration) and Astradyne (Pioneer Acceleration and student team winner of the first Hackathon)

This session was also streamed and followed by around 40 participants. In total over 66 SMEs participated in this hybrid info-day.

After the info-day, participants held B2B meetings pre-organized through the GALACTICA community platform. Participants were really active thanks to the facilitated networking space for bilateral meetings. In total, more than 80 B2B meetings were held among participants to seek synergies for joint projects with excellent feedback.
