BETITEX is a clear example of how clusters contribute to their members’ international cooperation, working together with other European clusters and encouraging the participation of SMEs in R&D initiatives worldwide.

The project, which has received funding from the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union (FP7/2007-2013), was promoted by the technical textiles cluster in Catalunya, AEI TEXTILS, and three of its members participate in the consortium (GREMI TEXTIL, LEITAT and LA INDUSTRIAL ALGODONERA). It also involves 3 similar European clusters: ATEVAL (Spain), TEXCLUBTEC (Italy) and CLUTEX (Czech R.).
