First Virtual Working Mission: Chile

Last 22nd of September, SOLARTYS organized the first of five C2C virtual working mission around the concept of Smart Cities and its most challenging and opportunities pillars in 3 different countries: Chile, Cape Verde, and Vietnam. During the event cluster Staff, SMEs, regional actors and other stakeholders participated introducing key aspects around strategies, thoughts, and learnings of the efficiency potential thanks to the implementation of technology.
This first session, focused on the Chilean market, consisted of a presentation of Solartys ecosystem and share of experiences in internationalization and projects; GSSC project performance and opportunities for SMEs participating; presentation of Catalonia as a Smart region in Europe by Mr. Xavier Vilalta, Smart City Strategy Director at ACCIÓ, Agency for Business Competitiveness; market opportunities in Chile focused on the energy sector by Mr. Carlos Finat, Executive Director at ACERA, the Chilean Renewable Energy and Storage Association; and good practices and innovative solutions applicable to the GSSC sector from Solartys SMEs by WATTABIT and TECNALIA.
The event was very well received by the audience: around 53% of attendees were companies, 27% were clusters and 20% of participants came from the public administration, technology centers and Solartys Staff.
