euWater4i-SD was represented by France Water Team at the World Impact Summit 2021, which took place on December 2nd and 3rd in Bordeaux, France. The event reunites public and private actors to think about sustainable and innovative solutions for the planet, and had made water its major cause for the 2021 edition.

The 2021 edition of the World Impact Summit, which took place in the Palais de la Bourse in Bordeaux, planned four thematic half-days around the following themes: zero carbon objective, circular economy, recovery plan and nature and biodiversity. As water was designated the event’s great cause for 2021, the conferences, workshops and debates covered a variety of themes, from the anticipation of climate change effects by European territories to decentralized cooperation in water and sanitation, through nature-based solutions. In parallel of the Solutions Village, the event gave the opportunity for companies in the water sector to present their innovative and sustainable solutions.

On behalf of the euWater4i-SD project, France Water Team took part in a round table discussion on the following topic: “How to export French know-how in terms of innovation with impact?”. This was an opportunity to present the euWater4i-SD partnership, objectives and workplan. Among the several topics which were discussed, one may cite: competitiveness of European SMEs, specificities of the water sector, innovation challenges and Water-smart solutions, and internationalization issues and tools.

A replay of the roundtable has been made available [in French]:
