CEAGA and 10 other European partners from 8 different countries (France, Spain, Austria, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Estonia and Greece) will work for the next 3 years on the European project SURE 5.0, to support SMEs in mobility, aerospace and electronics ecosystems in their transition to Industry 5.0. Within the framework of this initiative, 2.6 million euros will be mobilized through the cascade funding of the European Commission (FSTP) so that 53 SMEs can implement their projects.

The aim is to encourage the adoption of the basic principles of Industry 5.0, helping companies to integrate advanced technologies and more human-centric social innovation practices into their manufacturing processes. In this way, it will contribute to the digital and green transition of SMEs, turning them into more sustainable and resilient companies.

In addition, networking events, web seminars, evaluation reports and other activities will be held for the participation of different SMEs from the mobility, aerospace and electronics ecosystem. Together, these three ecosystems represent more than 10% of Europe’s GDP and bring together more than 2 million companies and 20 million jobs.

The European project SURE 5.0 “Supporting the SMEs Sustainability and Resilience transition towards Industry 5.0 in the mobility, transport & automotive, aerospace and electronics European ecosystems” has the support of the European Commission within the framework of the Horizon Europe Program.

The consortium is made up of a combination of clusters, universities, research organizations and business innovation centres. In addition to CEAGA, it is made up of: Aerospace Valley (France); Silicon Alps Cluster GmbH (Austria); Fraunhofer IPT (Germany); F6S Network Ireland Limited (Ireland); Asociación de Investigación Metalúrgica del Noroeste (Spain); Associazione Nazionale Filiera Industria Automobilistica (Italy); Iniziativa Cube (Italy); EIT Manufacturing West (Spain); Tallinna Tehnikaülikool (Estonia); Athena Research Center/Corallia clusters Initiative Unit (Greece).

On June 15 and 16, the consortium will hold the project launch meeting in Bordeaux, France, with the aim of coordinating the steps to be followed during the first months of the project.
