I+P, INCUBA, the new incubator for film and television projects of the Galician Audiovisual Cluster, has launched the call for its first edition that offers tutoring with leading professionals from the audiovisual sector for the six selected projects. The deadline for receiving applications is July 4.
I+P, INCUBA is an initiative of the Galician Audiovisual Cluster, which is financed by the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. It is an incubation program and pitching platform where professionals and companies that previously pass a selection process participate, and whose objective is the incubation and significant improvement of six audiovisual projects in the development phase through tutorials, webinars and consulting.
The call for this first edition will be open from June 2 to July 4, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., and seeks the incubation of audiovisual projects that will work collectively and individually with experts of recognized prestige in the areas script, production and distribution.
Projects from producers with registered office or residence in Spain who have at least one screenwriter in their work team may register. Through this call, 6 audiovisual projects will be supported: 3 fiction or documentary feature films, 2 fiction or documentary series and 1 animated feature film or series.
The Selection Committee in charge of evaluating and choosing the participating projects will be made up of three members of the audiovisual industry of recognized prestige, with consolidated careers and projects recognized by the general public.
The incubation program will consist of the development of face-to-face sessions in A Coruña and online sessions between the next months of September and November. At the end of the incubation, the participating projects will be presented in December at the “I+P, Idea to Produce” pitching and will benefit from a subscription to the Filmarket Hub platform.
In addition, each project will receive an economic endowment of 15,000 euros to complete the development phase, and the Cluster will pay one representative per project for travel, accommodation and maintenance in Galicia, in case of residing in other autonomous communities.
The list of selected projects will be published on the website www.clusteraudiovisualgalego.com.
