On 13th and 14th March, representatives of eight organisations along with the Basque Energy Cluster took part in a visit to Paris, to explore the business opportunities in the field of the electric vehicle (EV) and EV charging infrastructures.

In the context of the “European markets research for collaboration on EV charging products and services” project backed by Bizkaia Provincial Council, the Basque Energy Cluster is organising a series of business visits to leading European markets in the field of Electric Vehicle (EV) and EV charging infrastructures, with the purpose of meeting the key companies and agents in the sector, in order to share experiences and identify collaboration opportunities.

The first visit, defined in collaboration with Mo’veo (Pôle de compétitivité en R&D Mobilité et Automobile) and Paris Region Enterprises (Paris Region Economic Development Agency and member of the Europe Enterprise Network (EEN)) took place in Paris on 13th and 14th March, and was attended by the following participants: IBIL, INGETEAM, ORMAZÁBAL, ZIV, FAGOR ELECTRÓNICA, REBATTERY, SUPRA SYSTEMS and UPV/EHU.

During their stay at the French capital, the delegation held meetings with the representatives of leading organisations in the electric mobility sector such as: AVERE (Association promoting the development of electric mobility), GIREVE (Interoperability platform for the development of electric mobility in Europe), FRESHMILE (Electric mobility operator) and RENAULT, including an interesting visit to their facilities in Guyancourt.

There was also an opportunity for the organising bodies to introduce themselves - Mov’eo, Paris Region Enterprises and the Basque Energy Cluster - as well as the Basque delegation members who had a chance to present their lines of activity. To wrap up the event, a matchmaking session between French companies and the delegation members was arranged to identify business opportunities and potential collaborative actions.
