From October 7th to 11th we had the opportunity to travel to the west coast of Canada to look for collaboration opportunities between European companies and stakeholders from #Canada. During the trip we were in the cities of #Toronto and #Montreal.

It started on Monday with the TechTO event where we had the opportunity to meet the local technology ecosystem in the city of Toronto. We were also able to be with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (Canada) and we were able to discuss the participation in the Smart City Expo World Congress in #Barcelona

The next day from NGen Canada had organized an event to learn about the Canadian ecosystem in terms of #clusters and how it is structured, more specifically within the Canadian advanced #manufacturing cluster. It was a very successful and interesting event where we were able to chat with local actors as well, such as European-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research (ECCIR)Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada or Canada Makes (3D/AM) among others.

We then went to #Montreal where Montréal International had organized a very interesting agenda for us on some of the local key players related to key enabling technologies. In this regard, the first day we were able to learn more about the province of #Quebec, including the state of foreign investments in the region, thanks to Investissement Québec, and more specifically the state of the technology sectors in Montreal thanks to Montréal International. Also on the #Cybersecurity ecosystem, thanks to Cybereco, and the #Cleantech ecosystem, thanks to our meeting with Écotech Québec. We were also invited to the #Networking event organized by MTI in Grand Quai with their whole ecosystem.

The last day of the mission, we were able to meet with IVADO which is the Artificial Intelligence Research and Transfer Institue and with Xn Québec to know the reality of the digital experiences producess association. Later we had the opportunity to visit Startup Montréal where they explained us about the structure of entrepreneurs and accelerated Montreal and finally we were able to visit Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute

It has been a great mission with a lot of very interesting content and with many possibilities for collaboration. Thanks to everyone for being with us, especially Montréal International and NGen Canada for helping us organize such interesting agendas.

We continue collaborations!www.smartcitytech.euCluster GAIA | Green Hub Denmark | AMEC (Asociación Multisectorial de Empresas) | Cluster Sofia Knowledge City | Fundacja Digital Knowledge Observatory
