AEI Tèxtils has published a state-of-the-art report on graphene and its applications in the textile sector.

The report covers the current situation, both on the ongoing research and on the commercial applications that are emerging for this material. It comprises, an overview about graphene and its main characteristics, properties and production methods, as well as a summary of some of its current applications in general and with strong emphasis in the field of advanced textile materials. Finally, the report covers the current market situation and the main market players in production and supply.

The state-of-the-art report has been prepared by Dr. Marta Casadesús and Dr. Ariadna Detrell, Project Manager and Cluster Manager, respectively, from AEI Tèxtils. Its executive summary was presented during a periodic meeting with the cluster members, on July 15.

The cluster periodically prepares state-of-the-art reports on materials and technologies related to the advanced textile materials sector, exclusively for its members as a technological watch tool. It allows our members to be up to date with the latest trends, contributing directly with their product innovation processes.
