AEI TÈXTILS, the Catalan Technical Textiles’ Cluster, is organizing three webinars this week to promote the competitiveness of the textile industry as part of the activities of the 3 strategic European projects it coordinates: CLAMTEX, GALACTICA and CONTEXT. Each of them addresses a key strategic topic for the textile sector: digitalization support and improved services, innovation funding and cross-sectoral innovation support, and knowledge access to emerging technologies and materials.

CLAMTEX Webinar on European public funding opportunities

On Wednesday February 24th, AEI Tèxtils will co-organize a webinar about different EU funding opportunities for SMEs in the textile sector.

The webinar will include a first block presenting the general programs for SMEs from the European Commission including the new framework program Horizon Europe, the EIC Accelerator program and two programs supporting SME scale-up: InvestEU and Single Market Programme.

The second block will focus on specific European funding programs for textile companies including the EIT Manufacturing, and the cascade funding programs of GALACTICA and ELIIT.

This webinar is part of the CLAMTEX Virtual Marketplace: Towards industry 4.0 that also features B2B matchmaking opportunities. CLAMTEX – Cluster management towards excellence in Advanced Manufacturing and Textile Industry is a European Cluster Strategic Partnership for Excellence led by AEI Tèxtils.

GALACTICA Webinar on cross-sectoral innovation across textiles, aerospace and industry 4.0

The second webinar will be held on Thursday February 25th at 11 am co-organized by GALACTICA as part of a series of 10 with a variety of topics, both technical and focused on open innovation, for seeding cross-fertilization opportunities within the textile, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing sectors. These webinars aim to get inspiration and support for the upcoming call for proposals that will be launched on March with 1.2M€ in grants to support SME innovation. The full details of the call for proposals will be presented on March 24th in a dedicated info-day with virtual matchmaking.

This week webinar will focus on the Overview of Technologies in Textiles, Aerospace and Industry 4.0. Three experts from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) from the departments of Textile Engineering, Aeronautic Engineering, and Industrial Engineering in Terrassa will make a short overview of the different technologies in industry 4.0, textile use for aerospace application and major trends in aerospace and aeronautics in terms of materials and innovation. The session will also include a Q&A session to facilitate interactions and stand-up questions.
