About us

Association of winemakers and growers of Montenegro is representing the interests of growers and winemakers at national and international level and organize/manage their joint efforts to improve quality standards of produced wine and grapes. Association is formed in 2007 and since then it’s helping individual wine growers and producers to align their production to standards applied in European Union. Since that time Association contributed to legalization of 50 wineries production and they moved wine into the legal flows. Association is providing assistance to more than 350 members through following: 1) Purchase of planting material for Montenegrin wine growers (from 2007 more than 3.000.000 grapes was purchased) 2) Purchase of wine growing and wine production equipment under preferential terms 3) Support in participation to domestic and international fairs 4) Official counterpart of Ministry of Agriculture and member of working group for drafting new law on wine 5) Organizing joint activities of wine makers such as: fairs, sale events, auctions, study tours, equipment purchase as well as purchase of raw materials. Association of winemakers and growers of Montenegro is member of European association of independent growers and winemakers which makes them first agricultural organization amongst others to be member of one of the European associations. Association of winemakers and growers of Montenegro is recommended partner by Government to all donor partners in field of wine growing and wine making.
