Cluster Strategy
Mission/Objectives: 

Mission statement: Unique & innovative ecological waste management and renewable energy solutions facilitated by its memebrs

Vision: To drive reduction in waste pollution, carbon emissions, and improve economic efficiency in key regions of Slovakia  through:

  • Facilitating an application of innovative and bespoke waste-to-energy solutions to convert non-recyclable waste materials into usable heat, electricity and fuel.
  • Increase in use of renewable energy facilities without an impact on biodiversity.

To identify opportunities that enable cluster members to innovate, educate and improve as:

  • Cluster members are gaining ability to participate in discussions about environmental challenges within related regions and then be the first to offer their unique solutions.
  •  They also get an access to information about international activities in waste-management industry which enables them to contribute and share solution ideas with international partners.

Key activities:

  • Working with regional, national, international agencies & relevant parties to identify opportunities and support joint projects in the area of eco waste management & renewable energy sources.
  • Actiovely helping members to ensure their unique solutions are prioritised and implemented while supporting cooperation to further progress their innovation activities
  • Providing Education and Sharing of key information through conferences, workshops and advertising.
  • Lobby responsible regional governments to facilitate co-operation, prioritisation of resource re-use, treatment and disposal of waste, and creation of more effective environmentally sensitive recycling strategies.  
  • Proposal of conceptual & bespoke solutions via our members to applicable organisations, with the goal to drive sustainability practises, improve environmental efficiency through eliminating waste by implementing sustainable  resource recovery practices
  • Provide an active input into and support of projects directly driving delivery of objectives outlined in the EÚ Recovery & Resiliance Facility

Primary customers:

  • IPEEK’s key customers are companies that are producing recyclable and non-recyclable waste, that aim to implement waste minimisation strategies , alternative uses for their waste, or seek to implement renewable energy solutions.
  • The focus of our efforts is initially regional, the 5 key regions in Slovakia,  with a view to extend co-operation with Pan-European partners.

  • IPEEK’s Cluster has access to a specific information which incorporates mapping of recyclable and non-recyclable waste challenges in Slovakia (including their value/ degree of toxicity/ etc) - this is key to enable a successful identification of projects, and quickly move forward with respective delivery of an effective ecological solutions
  • Number of unique innovative solutions Cluster members devised have already been proven and some have even been successfully implemented to solve real life waste management challenges for example plant for utilization and disposal of used photovoltaic panels
