About us

"Cluster ICT - Burgas "is actively working to promote, support and develop cooperation among all businesses, schools and governmental institutions in the field of information and communication technologies, to create favourable conditions for their development, to enhance their competitiveness at national and international level. Here are some of the main objectives of the ICT Cluster Burgas: Establishing IT Business Education Hub; Developing IT Outsourcing sector in Burgas; Creating an online register of the univerity personnel in Burgas; Working to improve the conditions for access and use of information and communication technologies in the administrative region of Burgas municipality; Pursuing initiatives to expand the participation of Burgas in global IT markets; Realizing projects related to the promotion and realization of the benefits of ICT in small and medium-sized enterprises in other sectors of the economy; Supporting the development and promotion of the human fund of Burgas in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT). Other objectives of the ICT Cluster Burgas: Online Register of the university personnel in Burgas; Working to improve the conditions for access and use of information and communication technologies in the administrative region of Burgas municipality; Pursuing initiatives to expand the participation of Burgas on global IT markets; Realizing projects related to the promotion and realization of the benefits of ICT in small and medium-sized enterprises in other sectors of the economy; Supporting the development and promotion of the human fund in Bulgaria in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT); Creating a Unified Register Center (LRC) - a professional network of working IT professionals, young people with IT skills, IT companies interested in working in Burgas - Burgas citizens living elsewhere; Building IT business center in Burgas (Class A offices); Exchange of experiences with students from other European countries; Organizing various trainings / lectures / meetings that help develop not only technical but also soft skills, something which is lacking in youths; Assisting in increasing joint initiatives and activities of the participants in the Bulgarian ICT society; Supporting the insurance of adequate and modern government by promoting links of the public with the private and public sector; Attracting and integrating universities to achieve goals; Protecting the interests of local companies in government and public procurement; Increasing the interest of young people to information technology; Participating in national and international organizations and associations with similar objectives; Transforming Burgas into one of the main centers of development of information and communication technologies with national and international significance and scale; Creating appropriate infrastructure with the appropriate number of qualified staff in order to attract major companies to build structures and to invest in the region. Means to achieve the goals: Provides a wide exchange of information with all participants in the Bulgarian ICT society; Encourages intensive communication and cooperative efforts between all participants in the Bulgarian ICT society; Stimulates development and innovation; Works for the development and promotion of the human fund in Bulgaria in the field of ICT and builds links between education and business structures; Works in a partnership with the central and local government and with all participants of Bulgarian ICT society; Works with potential investors and Bulgarians abroad; Organizes councils, boards, meetings, lectures, seminars and other forums for exchanging ideas; Promotes the development trends in information and communication technologies.
