About us

Our mission is to give business and technology support to companies, investors and scientific institutes in the German Capital Region Berlin-Brandenburg, i. e. integration of business-enhancing tasks with business service (inventory management), business development, start-up support. We organize sector-related working groups and workshops and we initiate technology transfer and collaborative projects at different levels of complexity (regional, national and international level). Also, we support the actors in the development of projects (corsortium building, themes sharpening, milestone/budget planning).

The focus of the Healthcare Industries Cluster Berlin-Brandenburg is on following seven strategic focal areas:

- innovation and technologies - networking and transfer

- digital health

- capital.model.regions

- spin-offs and start ups - working environments

- internationalisation

The cluster is jointly managed by the two regional economic development agencies of Berlin and Brandenburg, Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH (BPWT) and Wirtschaftsförderung Land Brandenburg GmbH (WFBB).

Our cluster is not based on membership. Every stakeholder (private or public) in the German Capital Region that is active in healthcare industries is part of the cluster by definition. This is possible due to extensive regional and European funding. In a bottom-up S3 process the area of healthcare industries was selected as one S3 focus sector. Our cluster management implements the regional S3 strategy.
