The PKS subject of association is:

  • support and protection of the members´ business activities in the interest of development and improvement of the food industry in the Slovak Republic,
  • representation and promotion of the PKS members´ interests in the relation with the state administration bodies, mainly in the legislative, customs, tax, price and material area as well as in the relation with other economic, employers´ and employees´ organizations and in the public relation,
  • coordination and mediation of expert experience, information, methodological instructions, lectures and seminars necessary and purposeful for the PKS activities,
  • promotion of creation and respect of healthy market environment among its members and other subjects,
  • use of legal means against unfair competition, unlawful restrains of trade, support of the business ethics and good practices development  in business activities,
  • representation and advocating of the PKS members´ interests in the relation with the European Union bodies, the CIAA membership,
  • communication with general public in the issues of healthy life style and consumer protection,
  • cooperation with other unions and associations having relations to the  food industry issues or having connection with its activities.
