Mission/Objectives:

Our Mission

We want to implement a sustainable, secure, affordable and CO2-free energy supply with technology & knowledge from the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region.

Objectives Finding sustainable solutions for energy supply is one of the central challenges of our time. The energy sector is undergoing structural change, characterised by a steadily increasing share of renewable energies and the trends towards decentralisation, decarbonisation and digitalisation. How we tackle these challenges together will decisively determine the future of our region, but also of the entire earth, in the coming decades, possibly even centuries. As ENERGIEregion Nürnberg e.V. we bundle the forces of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region in order to make the best possible use of the opportunities of structural change and minimise the risks. We have set ourselves the task of networking companies, scientific research institutes, public institutions and organisations with one another and promoting a fast, uncomplicated and targeted exchange between them. In this way we actively shape change from within the region. We are active as networkers, signposts, thought leaders, organizers and initiators. Through the community in the association we can open doors that would otherwise remain closed and go down paths that are blocked for individuals. With all our activities we put the topic of energy on a broad and regionally anchored basis, because: The more diverse the platform is and the shorter the paths are, the faster and more capable of action we are. Whether energy suppliers or providers of comprehensive energy solutions, whether innovative start-up companies or partners from universities and local authorities: through the continuous exchange of ideas, synergies can be exploited and value chains can be formed. That is why we are constantly seeking contact with all important players in business, science and politics - both within the circle of our association members and in the entire energy sector - on a regional, state and national level. In order to be able to use our possibilities to the full extent and to achieve our short- and long-term goals, we are constantly expanding our network and strengthening our members. We shape the regional energy landscape through events and joint work and drive forward the development and financing of ideas and projects. All our actions, initiatives and measures focus on one goal: to pave the way for new, forward-looking and sustainable solutions in the energy sector and thus secure the economic and social future of our region.
