The Apulian Technological District - Dhitech Scarl is a public-private consortium, born within the Framework Program Agreement signed in June 2005 by the Puglia Region, the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and the Ministry of Economic Development ( PUT). It was founded with the aim of promoting, consolidating and developing the attractiveness of the excellences present in the regional scientific and academic system with respect to the interests of national and international industries. The main mission of the District is to foster innovation in the regional economic and productive social system, in the context of regional, national and EU policies, through joint activities between public research institutions and private companies, favoring technology transfer and birth of a new high-tech enterprise.
