About us
CMES is a voluntary, non-politically bound, self-organized cluster organization based on the mutual trust of the members thereof, founded in 2010.
CMES’s mission is to promote the development of the Microelectronics and Embedded Systems sector by covering all necessary related fields – education, research, project cooperation, project management, commercial activities.
Objectives:
- Resource sharing for business development and innovations in the electronics, microelectronics and nanoelectronics.
- Support of the training and professional qualifications of common interest professionals through setup of training and educational in the Microelectronics and Embedded Systems sector.
- Creation of an information exchange platform, coordination of common projects facilitating the development of the Microelectronics and Embedded Systems sector and enhancing its competitiveness.
- Triggering positive public interest in the Microelectronics and Embedded Systems sector and the activity of CMES’s members.

Achievements
- MINOLab at Sofia Tech Park. CMES supported the setup of innovative laboratory at Sofia Tech Park - MINOLab (Micro Nano Laboratory).
MINOLab’s activities include:
- Detection and analysis of faults and failures in micro and nanoelectronics devices, systems, and prototypes at chip level.
- Design and development at circuit and layout-level; prototyping.
- Measurements and characterization of integrated circuits, embedded systems, printed circuit boards and devices.
- Testing and reliability of devices and systems at circuit- and system-level, including embedded systems;
- Training in micro- and nanoelectronics for employees of companies, interns, students, etc.
- Training and Qualification Center. CMES is currently setting up a professional training center with a goal to develop educational unit for education and training in industry-driven topics.
