The main targets of the cluster are:

  • To stimulate the innovation by the exchange of information and running joint projects with immediate applicability in production;

  • The approach of a joint market strategy intended to ensure the consolidation of the existent market and the running of actions intended to extend this market;

Achievements

ASTRICO NORD EST is a group of yarn and knitwear manufacturers, located in the North-Eastern development region of Romania.

Main achievements:

  • 20.000 tons of different types of yarns and over 3,5 millions garments annual production;
  • over 2.200 employees in production and commercial units;
  • 810 million RON, over 170 million Euro annual turnover;
  • 8 European projects implemented;
  • close collaboration with research and educational institutions;
  •  more than 80%  of production  exported in EU, USA and other countries;
  •  significative  investments in technology and human resources;
  •  strong creative departments, own creative production capacity;
  •  silver label certificate, awarded by the "European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis".

1. The project ”Human resources development in rural areas” funded by Sectoral Operational Programme for Human Resources Development. (01.01.2012 - 28.02.2014).

2. The project ”Institutional Development of Astrico Nord-Est Textile Cluster”, funded by Sectoral Operational Programme “INCREASE OF ECONOMIC COMPETITIVENESS” (23.04.2014 - 22.11.2015).
