About us

The Association for Valencian companies in the Plastics industries a not-for-profit organisation that was founded in 1977. Nowadays AVEP represents around 140 companies (mostly SMEs) being the most representative industrial association of the plastic processing industry in Valencian region. AVEP network offers the following services to the local business companies:

• Represent the common interests of its members to regulatory and other authorities; Including Trade Union relationship fixing the labour regulatory framework for Plastic Industries in Valencia.
• Provide fiscal, legal, administrative, financial, economic and technological assistance to its members.
• Elaborate studies and publish reports and bulletins including information about production, import, export and consumption figures. Own magazine to promote and disseminate information at national and international level.
• Active participation in RTD and Innovative projects including EU calls such as: Research for SMEs and AGs, COSME, LIFE and Life +.
• Commercial promotion in fairs and commercial missions at international level, such us: K fair (Düsseldorf), Plast (Italy), Brasilplast (Brazil), Emballage (Paris), Equiplast (Barcelona), Plast Expo (Morocco), Plast Alger (Alger).
• Active contribution to European Plastic Network Clusterplast exchanging knowledge, experiences and transferring technology within plastic cluster network group.

To serve as an effective network among Research entities, Companies and public sector. The main focus is to promote the applicative innovation and commercial promotion to plastic companies in Valencia Region.

Main activities of the cluster organisation:

• serve as a forum for the generation of ideas and detection of business needs of the Valencian plastics industry;
• enhance its innovative culture supporting the participation of plastic industry companies in activities of R+D+i;
• boost competitiveness and the expansion and diversification of the commercial offer of companies of the sector.
