The network of automotive suppliers (AMZ) Saxony brings together automotive suppliers, developers, industry service providers and suppliers to the automotive industry with the aim of Both Strengthening innovative capacity of member companies and the making automotive location Saxony attractive and nationally to promote internationally. AMZ offers on ideal platform to socialize, exchange experiences and ideas to explore potentials for cooperation to establish synergies and to initiate Ultimately concrete projects.

Details of support services: 

AMZ Saxony is an expert for innovation and internationalization, supporting Saxony's automotive suppliers industry especially in those areas. With over 300 successfully completed projects aiming for novel technologies and solutions, improving competitiveness in the national, European and international market significantly.

For this, AMZ Saxony is in constant discussion with universities, R&D providers and decision makers in both, politics and industry. Identifying trends as they are still emerging, AMZ initiates innovation processes and develops specific projects with and for it's members. Based on the outstanding, longterm experience of AMZ's team, we are well-proven in developing and successfully managing complex projects, many of them with international partners.

Participation in Funded Support Programmes: 
Name & Description (Regional/National)

Project EJIT:  Led by AMZ Saxony an consortium from Saxony developed two fully electric heavy duty trucks for Just-in-time-logistics between satellite storage and production facilities in automotive. After build-up and commission were successful, both trucks are currently used in everyday industrial logistics at two OEM plants in Leipzig and Zwickau. The consortium received funding by the German Federal Government for Research and Education.

Project AUTO-ID: Facing major changes in both, mobility concepts and the industry itself, manifold SMEs are struggeling with training their established staff for the upcoming challenges. AUTO-ID develops digital methods and concepts for a high efficiency digital training of their current staff in the areas of "new drives" (e-mobility), "new materials" (lightweight engineering) and "Digitalization in product (connected and autonomous mobility) and processes (Industry 4.0)". These online based courses enables small and medium sized enterprises to close the gap to major players regarding the build of expertises in new technologies. The consortium is led by AMZ Sachsen and receives funding by the German Federal Government for Research and Education.

Project TADA: Striving for new business models and technical solutions in the area of highly automated and autonomous driving, the Transatlantic Automated Driving Alliance combines experise and excellence from Saxony / Germany and the Ann Arbor region in Michigan / USA. Bringing together companies, research entities and municipalities TADA aims for outstanding results and progress, which can only be reached by combining the expertise of both regions. Led by AMZ, two pilotprojects aiming for superior traffic management based on sophisticated intelligent traffic infrastructure and a highly automated heavy-duty utility vehicle are currently coming to live. The consortium is led by AMZ Sachsen and receives funding by the German Federal Government for Research and Education as well as of PlanetM, Michigan's mobility initiative.
