FRANCE: A programme for safer mobility launched by ID4CAR

Submitted by Tedora Aibu on 04 May 2020

ID4CAR, the French Smart Manufacturing and Digital Mobility Innovation Hub, has launched the Post-Containment Mobility Programme in the face of the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis. In France, the prospect of a gradual deconfinement starting on the 11th of May 2020 has opened a series of questions about mobility in the territory. The programme is designed to facilitate the convergence of problems and solutions through tailor-made connections or targeted activities when collective approaches are to be encouraged, regardless of whether they are the public or private source. The actions undertaken within the scope of this programme are planned to relieve current health constraints and assist solution providers such as vehicle manufacturers, companies in the service sector, start-ups and laboratories through referencing and highlighting their products and services in order to enable them to respond to the health challenges that might arise as a result of deconfigured mobility. ID4CAR further intends to support the engineering and implementation of innovative projects that will emerge for needs which can not be met by off-the-shelf solutions.
